I was in church Sunday morning and noticed a lady in the choir who was fanning. It was 39 degrees outside, and the church was just warming up, so the warmest it may have been inside was 60 degrees. And yet she was still fanning.
I think it was a habit.
Sometimes we can be so stuck in routine and used to doing some things that even when they don't make sense or are not necessary we do them anyway.
Take a look at your life and see if you are fanning for no reason. Everything in our lives has a purpose. And once that purpose has been extinguished there is no reason to continue to do it.
It's time to make a change.
Is there a certain way that you take to work that no longer makes sense for you? Are there certain organizations that you are a member of that no longer serve your needs? Are you in a job that you used to enjoy but no longer do so?
Stop fanning. Take notice. And take action that supports who you are right NOW.
